To all,
Others in state got Trumbull. And on my iPhone.
It's supposed to be fixed.

Sara, When I click on it here at the BOE office it seems to work fine. It’s Stratford’s page with the article.

Hi Sara,

Sorry to hear that our lines are getting crossed. Incidentally, the only database we subscribe to with them is the Video on Demand. The link you posted does bring me to Trumbull’s site but, since that is my IP, this information probably won’t help. Please let me know if there’s anything we can do to help solve the problem!

Subject: Infobase/Facts-on-File URL link issues

Is anyone having issues with InfoBase/Facts -on-file links? After accessing articles from Issues and Controversies, Health Reference Center, and Career Guidance Center, if students try to use the URL (from browser or "record URL", or even the page email tools) during another session, the website is being redirected to Trumbull High's InfoBase On Demand Video homepage.  We use Noodletools for students to store URLs but the issue comes even when bypassing Noodletools.  It is happening in all browsers unless I have a tab open from direct link to the databases. Students and teachers are frustrated.

Our IT person has looked at the problem and said that it is with their website.  We have also exchanged IP address info, and it is correct.  I'm a one-woman show here with no degree in IT, and in over my head.  The problem is exacerbated by the Infobase IT person, who is pretty much the most condescending person I have ever met, insisting that it is my fault (as if I have access to Trumbull High's IP info!).  In my latest communication, they said they have no problems with any other schools.

So, I'm wondering if anyone who subscribes to their databases has problems or not. Here is a sample link from an Issues and Controversies article: http://icof.infobaselearning.com/recordurl.aspx?wid=15200&ID=2700.  Are you getting an article about popular vote/polls or Trumbull High's page? Is it just me? Any ideas?  Should we all start watching their videos and pumping up Trumbull's usage stats?  LOL (Hi Dean!).

Thank you for helping if you are able!

Sara
