Hi Lauren - Seesaw would be an easy option. We have 2nd graders using that to record themselves all the time. It takes a little time to get the classes set up, but then it's pretty easy. iPads are great for recording if you have those available. iMovie is too and it doesn't have to be complicated. I was so afraid of it that I avoided it until recently and then I just dove in. I watched one tutorial and then just started playing with it. I may not know everything, but I know enough to feel good about what I was able to create. And I think 3rd graders could handle it. Many of them probably already know how to use it!

I hope this helps!

Hi everyone,

I am collaborating with a teacher on a student project (3rd grade). We want the students to be able to video record themselves presenting their opinion pieces. We have chromebooks and Macbooks in our school. In our district, the ability for students to be able to download apps from the Chrome Webstore is blocked.

We could use iMovie but I have limited experience with it and from what I understand it can be very complex so I am worried it will be too difficult for the 3rd graders. Does anyone have any suggestions?
