Happy almost summer everyone!

I'm looking to book author visits for next school year and I'm trying to brainstorm ideas for someone who is maybe both an author and illustrator and is a person of color and is reasonable cost wise ($1300 or under) as well as living close to CT so transportation isn't a huge cost.

Anyone have any ideas? I am currently emailing with Mike Curato. We had Grace Lin two years ago for K-5 and she was great.
