Looking for new and innovative ways to meet the health information needs
of your community?  

Join us for a Health Access two-day training offered by the
Connecticut State Library and Libraries for the Future!

Wednesday, February 27, 2008, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Thursday, February 28, 2008, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Bristol Public Library, Bristol, CT

Health Access is a component of EqualAccess Libraries™, a professional
development program for public librarians.  It was developed by
Libraries for the Future with support from the Langeloth Foundation, the
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others.

Public librarians and staff will gain knowledge and build skills in
these areas:
Trainers include Eleanor Stafford, MA EqualAccess Program Manager and
Jo-Ann Benedetti, MLA certified trainer and author of four courses for
the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. Eleanor has received rave
reviews at COSLINE and other conferences for her enthusiastic
presentations on asset and needs assessment while Jo-Ann is nationally
recognized in the field of consumer health outreach training. In
addition, librarians will share their success stories in health
programming and collaboration.

Cost: FREE!…with continental breakfast and lunch included.
Travel expenses and hotel accommodations covered if one-way travel
exceeds 35 miles.
