Blogs and flickr …. Is this just a lot of geek speak or are these
resources that we should be exploiting? This workshop will explore how
blogs and flickr can be used in libraries, as an information source and
as a method to distribute information to the public. We will look at
some popular blogs and create our own using wordpress.com. We will also
learn how to set up a flickr account, upload and organize photos and add
photos to your blog.
Topics include:
*Blog basics
*Finding and searching for blogs
*How to create your own blog
*Creating a flickr account
*Using flickr as photo storage for blogs
*Uploading and organizing photos
*Adding photos to your blog
