Meteorologist Art Horn will be speaking at the Henry Carter Hull Library in
Clinton on *Monday, December 3, 2007 *at *6:30 pm*. His lecture "Global
Warming: Fact or Fiction" covers the history of climate change, how carbon
dioxide contributes to the greenhouse effect, and how media perceptions of
global warming have changed in the past 30 years.
Horn, a hurricane-chaser and former weatherman for Hartford's NBC 30, says,
"I touch on issues like how we measure temperature and what problems there
are with the measurements…then I move on to hurricanes and how and if they
are affected by global warming."
Ocean cycles, carbon dioxide, the greenhouse effect, hurricanes, and how the
sun affects temperature will all be discussed at Horn's lecture.
This event is open to the public and no registration is required.
