Brookfield has owned a Venmill VMI 3500 for a couple of years. We're
very pleased with it, and it's saved us quite a bit of money on
replacements. It removes scratches and scuffs nicely, but it can't
repair really deep scratches or gouges -- nothing can.
We also offer a disc cleaning and repair service to the public. It's
not used a lot, but it more than pays for the cost of the
supplies. We charge $3/disk or 2 for $5.
>We are thinking of purchasing a VMI disc repair system (either the
>Commercial Elite 60 or VMI 3500) for the library. I saw it
>demonstrated at NELA, and it certainly looked impressive. But, of
>course, there was no way to see how well the DVDs and CDs worked
>after being repaired. Does anyone have any experience with either of
>these machines (or another one?).

>Thanks!
