There are 2 seats available in the FrontPage Pt.1 & Pt. 2 workshop on Oct. 12th and 19th at the Middletown Library Service Center. FrontPage Pt. 1 & Pt. 2

Part 1:
On day 1 of the workshop, we'll start to explore the creation and development of a web site using FrontPage.  We'll help you understand how to design a web page and the elements that can be included.  There will be time for participants to work on individual projects in class, so bring supporting material for your web site project and a diskette to bring work back to your library.  Workshop participants should understand files, file types, folders, and have a basic knowledge of the Internet and word processing. 

Topics will include:
Understanding web page terminology
Designing the flow of a web page
Using web page templates
Understanding your saving location choices and ramifications of each
Creating Hyperlinks
Inserting graphics
Organizing supporting data
Understanding different graphic types
Publishing your web site 

Part 2:
Day 2 of the workshop is designed for the person who has taken the Introductory FrontPage class and needs to know more about web design.  We'll be inserting forms and getting the form fields ready for useable feedback.  We'll continue our discussion about images, including creating hotspots on images.  We'll create hover buttons to display custom pictures or play sounds.  We'll be defining bookmarks and e-mail links for navigation and communication.  We'll explore the use of frames. 

Topics will include:
Using forms, including confirmation pages
Creating graphic hotspots
Using hover buttons
Defining bookmarks
Creating frames 

Your instructor will be Diane McKeever, President of Professional Support Services, a software training company.  Diane had her own desktop publishing company for many years, producing newsletters, flyers and brochures for a variety of clients.
