The Town of Glastonbury announces the following position:


The Town of Glastonbury is seeking an energetic librarian to work in the Children’s Dept. of the Library.  Working under the direction of a Librarian III, this person provides reference and reader’s advisory, provides individual and/or group instruction in use of public computers and the internet, plans & presents story times & programs for children birth-6th grade.  Some evening and weekend work.   Master’s degree from an ALA accredited college or university in Library Science plus three (3) years of professional experience in a public or academic library.   Knowledge of children’s literature and electronic resources required.

Salary:                        $44,538-$55,653
Hours:                                    37.5/wk
