[Conntech] CLA--Come on Down!

To Mystic! CLA is just two weeks away--April 28, 29, and 30. I personally
guarantee good weather, (OK, at least good cheer!)

We've got big shots like OCLC's Jay Jordan, Pew's Lee Rainie, authors
Elizabeth Berg and Amy Bloom, loads of technology, exhibits galore, and
plenty of big shot librarians, (you know, the people from far away.)

Consider CLA as our very own spring fling, a chance to congratulate the
award winners among us, to commiserate with those whom we haven't seen since
last year, and to just bask in the glow of friendship and collegiality in a
very elegant setting. (Heck, I'm getting a new outfit!)

Over 300 CT library big shots have already registered. If you are not one of
them, even though you are a big shot, go to
http://www.ctlibraryassociation.org and just click. 

Note that the online registration accepts only checks or credit cards. If
your institution insists on being invoiced, (some things are just beyond our
control!) email your info to Kirsten Kilbourn at claweb at ctlibrarians.org.
Include *all* the attendees' names and the *days* they wish to attend. If
attending the Elizabeth Berg dinner on Tuesday night, note food choice
(Chicken, Salmon, or Veg. stir fry). 

Speaking of food, CLA regrets that there are NO comps for the Berg dinner.
Since CLA has to pay the elegant Marriott for every plate of Chicken,
Salmon, or Veg. stir fry, therefore so do you, even if you are a big shot!)
