RUSSIAN VIEW OF THE WORLD IS SUBJECT OF SPECIAL SERIES

 AT KENT MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Dr. Henry Kissinger, Russian Federation U.N. Ambassador H.E. Mr. Vitaly
Churkin, and Arts Patron Ms. Janna Bullock Headline Three Presentations

KENT, CT, April 7, 2008 -- A series of lectures on Russia by Nobel Peace
Prize winner Henry Kissinger and other notables will be presented by the
Kent Memorial Library beginning May 3rd, it was announced today by Kenneth
Cooper, president of the Library Association.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to move beyond the characterization of the
Russian Federation as defined by our media and political leadership," said
Cooper. "Dr. Kissinger, Ambassador Vitaly Churkin and the remarkable Janna
Bullock will provide valuable insights about Russia's culture and its
affairs of state, both of which are presented primarily through the lens of
the American media. Learning about the Russian view of reality and the
richness of its culture is a crucial step toward building national awareness
about a country that will have a significant impact on our future."

Dr. Kissinger will speak on Saturday, May 3rd at 4 PM; Ambassador Churkin is
scheduled to talk on Saturday, May 31st at 4 PM; Ms. Bullock will talk on
August 30th at 4 PM.

All events will take place in the Parish Hall at St. Andrew's Episcopal
Church. Reservations are suggested for each program and can be made by
visiting the library to sign up; calling the library at (860) 927-3761 or

stable relationship with the Russian Federation. Dr. Kissinger, a Kent
