Good Afternoon,
On April 26, the Connecticut Chapter of the American Immigration
Lawyers Association (AILA) will sponsor Citizenship Day 2008, a one-day
workshop with sites in four locations across Connecticut providing free
assistance to lawful permanent residents eligible for naturalization.
Citizenship Day is conducted on a national scale and last year, more
than 350 attorneys and 500 non-attorney volunteers assisted 1,700
clients at locations around the United States with their citizenship
applications. The Connecticut event is being held at:
Southern CT State University (New Haven),
Greater Hartford Legal Aid (Hartford),
UCONN Stamford (Stamford), and
Danbury Public Library (Danbury).
Lawful permanent residents, or "green card” holders, who wish to file
their citizenship applications will be able to consult with lawyers and
supervised volunteers to try to ensure that their documentation is
complete.
I have posted the PDFs of eight flyers for these events. One in
English and Spanish for each event. Please go to:

and download and post the flyers for the event nearest your library.
