[Conntech] Temporary Part-time position opening in Beacon Falls

This is being posted on behalf of the Beacon Falls Public Library. It is the director's hope that the person selected would be working toward their MLS, but that is not necessary. Position needs to be filled as soon as possible....
      Program librarian needed on a temporary part-time basis for a small library serving a community of 5,600 in the lower Naugatuck River valley. Individual should be friendly, outgoing and committed to giving fine customer service. Duties include preparing and delivering a single pre-school story time with age-appropriate craft twice each week (Thursdays at 5:30 P.M. and Fridays at 10:30 A.M.), occasional craft programs on Saturday A.M. for elementary school-aged children and planning, delivering and/or arranging for adult/YA programming. Individual will also provide circulation desk coverage, reference services, and maintain library shelves, etc. as needed. Depending upon length of employment, individual should expect to open or close the building and may occasionally work alone. The library is automated by the Follett Circulation Plus system for small libraries.

The 19-hour per week position pays $11.00 per hour and includes no benefits. The duration is unknown.
