[Conntech] Waiting for Snow in Havana: Farmington Valley's One Book Read

Hello:  The Farmington Valley One Book Read has chosen "Waiting for Snow in
Havana" for its one-book title. Author Carlos Eirie will speak at the Avon
Senior Center on October 7, 7:00 pm.  In September individual book
discussions will be held at the participating libraries which are Avon,
Bristol, Burlington, Canton, Farmington, Granby, Simsbury.  Grant funds have
purchased multiple copies for our readers but we would appreciate the
donation of any extra copies you may have.  Send them to Avon and we will be
forever grateful.  Send your readers to Avon in the fall and they will enjoy
a great program with Dr. Eirie.  

 

We are also planning "related topic" programs on the contemporary scene in
Cuba, Cuban films, "natural" Cuba (birds, etc.)

 

Thank you for those extra copies that you otherwise would have put in your
