LIBRARY DIRECTOR
TOWN OF WINDSOR, CT
The Town of Windsor introduces a great opportunity to become the town's
Library Director. Connecticut's first town is strategically located on
the beautiful Farmington and Connecticut Rivers between Hartford and
Springfield, Massachusetts. Windsor is approximately 100 miles south of
Boston and 100 miles north of New York City. Nearby, Bradley
International Airport makes business and recreational travel convenient
for our 28,500 citizens. The Town of Windsor is an organization made up

The library serves the public through a newly renovated and expanded
32,000 square foot main library that overlooks the town green and brings
over 600 people per day to the center of town.  In addition, a 4,400
square foot branch library in the Wilson neighborhood is a vital center
for the community and offers a range of innovative programs.  Total
circulation exceeds 283,000 of the collection of 130,000 items.  The
department utilizes a $1,455,000 budget, 18.97 FTE and many volunteers
to provide services to the community.
Requires a Master's degree in library science or a closely related field
with five years progressively responsible experience in library
operations, including supervisory experience. Salary: $75-90K DOQ/Exp
