The Legislative Committee would like to thank the 10 stalwart CLA
members who gave up most of their Valentine's Day evening last night
(until almost 10 PM!) to hear CLA President Carl Antonucci's eloquent
delivery of CLA's testimony in support of our legislative agenda.

It moved Rep. Sandy Nafis of Newington to praise CT's libraries at the
hearing for getting "more bang for the buck" from state tax dollars than
almost any other program that the General Assembly helps to fund. She
and Rep. Betsy Ritter of Waterford also spoke with our delegation after
we left the hearing room to assure us of their support this session. We
reminded them about CLA's upcoming legislative breakfast at the LOB in
Hartford on Wednesday, March 5, from 8:00 to 9:30 AM.

We also want to thank CLC's Deb Zulick and CLA's Suzanne Maryeski for
preparing and delivering breakfast invitations to legislators' mailboxes
yesterday. You'll hear more from us about the breakfast soon, but
please put it on your calendar if you haven't done so yet.
