It appears the problem is that the Gale databases are not returning results, and in a federated search environment, that is slowing everything else down.  Gale is aware of the problem and is working to fix it.  In the meantime, A-G will try to disable the Gale databases so that federated search results will be available from the non-Gale databases.  You can also access the non-Gale databases using their direct links at http://www.iconn.org/staff/urltable.aspx
