[Conntech] Large Print Magazines

This response is a long time coming but I want to make sure that this information about large print magazines is shared with all on Conntech.  The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped has created a catalog of audio and Braille magazines furnished through their program that are offer to patrons registered with any of their network libraries across the country.  As one of those network libraries the Connecticut Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is able to register patrons for specific titles.  In this catalog of Magazines in Special Media,  Part I shows magazines offered through this program.  In Part II magazines offered from other sources are listed that may or may not have subscription fees attached and are the responsibility of the patron to register for.  This is where a listing of large print magazines and their sources would be found.  This catalog is available online at:   http://www.loc.gov/nls/reference/directories/magazines.html

Conntechers,

 

I have a patron looking for large print magazines, particularly "women's"
magazines such as Ladies Home Journal or "Good Housekeeping."  Does anybody
know of any such titles, or where I can find a comprehensive list of large
print magazines ( I already have a call in to the state Library for the
Blind).
