[Conntech] Pay phones

Greetings all,

 

Hamden Library has joined the ranks of those libraries that no longer
have pay phones available for patron use.  Our budget prohibits us from
switching to the vendor recommended by AT&T.  I'm sure we're not the
only one in this position.  How are others of you handling the situation
in your library? Have you found a less expensive vendor or have you
found other, creative ways to help the cell phoneless communicate with
the outside world without tying up service desk phones?

 

All info gratefully accepted.  Respond off-list if you wish.  (I'll be
happy to compile a list of responses if anyone's interested.)
