[Conntech] Signs in Historic District

Is your library is in a historic district? If it is, and if you use
a permanent sign to both identify your library and to publicize
events, I'd like to talk to you.

We've been using a two-sided swinging sign -- the kind where you
slide the letters between bars -- to publicize library events. The
town zoning folks have told us those signs aren't legal, and they're
going to start enforcing that. We are allowed to have a permanent
sign, but it has to be approved by both the zoning folks and the
Historic District Commission. I look forward to your creative solutions!
