Technical Services and Collection Manager

 

The Avon Free Public Library is seeking an organized, detail-oriented
individual to supervise the technical services and collection development
operations of a dynamic public library in a community of 17,500.  Performs
professional library duties in the cataloging, classification and selection
of books, non-print items, and reference materials. Coordinates and
supervises the selection and acquisition of all formats for the library.
Specific duties include supervision of the technical services staff and
serve as lead cataloger; will be assigned hours on Reference desk, including
rotational Saturday, evenings and selected weekday hours.

Applicants must have an MLS with 2 years experience of progressively
responsible experience in library work. Familiarity with SIRSI-Dynix Horizon
system is highly desirable.  Full-time with excellent benefits.  Salary
