Wallingford Public Library recently hosted Julian Padowicz, Connecticut
resident and author of the memoir, Mother and Me: Escape from Warsaw 1939
(Academy Chicago 2006).  Mr. Padowicz' presentation was enthusiastically
received by an audience of nearly 80 people ranging in age from teenagers to
seniors and included his own boyhood exerpiences and perspectives during the
Nazi invasion of Poland. A lively question and answer session, and book
signing followed his presentation. He is an engaging speaker with a relaxed
and approachable style that was very much appreciated by the audience.

I would recommend Mr. Padowicz to any organization interested in presenting
a program on World War II, the Nazi invasion of Poland, Connecticut authors,
