Today's Hartford courant has an article about the state archives project at http://www.courant.com/features/hc-wpa.artjul29,0,3981610.story
In a project funded by the state legislature, the State Archives is compiling information about the Connecticut Federal Art Project. We need your help in locating extant WPA art in order to produce a comprehensive inventory. We do not intend to take art back to Hartford. Staff intends to make a record of surviving FAP art and shall request permission to make a digital record of each piece for our inventory files.
State Archivist Mark Jones's announcement is attached, along with a list of all the artists. If you would like to help, please contact Mark Jones at mjones at cslib.org or (860) 757-6511 with questions, stories, remembrances, and recent sightings.
