Head of Technical Services, Librarian IV - Hamden Public Library is a
busy medium-sized library with a central library and 2 branches.
Primary responsibilities:  The planning and coordination of technology
and its applications for the library through the Town IT Department;
cataloging and acquisitions; budgetary and planning functions for the
department.  Specific duties include supervision of the technical
services staff, lead cataloger and system administrator of the ILS.
Familiarity with SIRSI - Dynix Horizon system is highly desirable.
Applicants must have a MLS with 3 years experience in a technical
services environment; one year of supervisory experience is desired but
not required.  Salary range is $48,330 - $61,201 with an additional 5.5
% pending the outcome of a union contract.  During the school year,
every third Saturday is required on the public reference desk.
