[Conntech] An invitation

Dear Librarians:

Perhaps you have heard about our organization, North Atlantic Health
Sciences Librarians (NAHSL)?   We are a group of librarians who work in
the specialized field of health sciences. We are writing about a
wonderful opportunity for you to connect with friends and colleagues who
work with the health sciences. 

NAHSL was established in 1958 as a regional group of professional
librarians, individuals and institutions interested in Health Sciences
Libraries. NAHSL members represent Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.  In 1981 NAHSL became an
official Chapter of the Medical Library Association. NAHSL promotes
opportunities for education and professional growth and advances the
status and economic interest of health science librarians. We also
provide a forum for peer interactions and networking and help promote
the exchange of ideas and information.1

This year is our 50th Anniversary and we are making an effort to contact
librarians who work at universities, colleges and public libraries with
an invitation to become a member of NAHSL. As a group we are very
excited about Health Sciences Librarianship and we want to share our
enthusiasm with our colleagues in academic and public libraries.

We have enclosed a NAHSL brochure and an application for membership. We
would love to have you join us. Please feel free to contact any member
of the marketing committee or the executive board of NAHSL with any
