CorvAircraft> no gascolator?

I recall reading some expert who said you might be able to get away with
not having a gascolator if you have a composite fuel tank, and something
about having never encountered water in a gascolator.

I also read this
http://www.ellison-fluid-systems.com/article/fuelsystemsforhomebuilts/fuelsystems.htm
where under the heading of Fuel Filters (halfway down) he talks about the
downside of gascolators. So, I was originally not going to put a
gascolator in my plane either. It seemed like just another single point of
failure that, if you put a fuel pump upstream of it, becomes a pressure
blowout point, and if you put the fuel pump downstream, becomes a vapor
lock point if it is able to collect exhaust heat. But you'd definitely be
swimming against the current by choosing not to install one, so I ended up
putting one into my design after all.
