CorvAircraft> Zero oil pressure

Hi guys,
I have a question just for interest's sake. How long will a corvair stay
running at a power setting that will maintain level flight should the oil
pressure suddenly dissapear, 30s,1min?? Say the distributor drive gear
sheared its pin. Assume that the motor has a crank fired ignition and does
not rely on the distributor for spark.
P.S. Does anyone know what measuresWW and others running the "new"
electronic ignition have taken to deal with voltage spikes to protect the
electronics?
