My Andair gascolator and fuel pumps are on the firewall beneath a shield and
infused with a 1" blast tube.
My temps beneath the shield are around 120 to 130 F range in flight. Then
thru an AN6 SS covered fuel line to the carb that is also completely
shrouded in reflective tubing.
As for the additional filter I could not say. The fuel pump documentation
also required an after filter installation. The Ellison Carburetor has a
final filter at the inlet fitting.
I am not using my Ellison in this project anymore. I have made a change to
the Marvel Schebler after 19 hours of experimentation. I was not able to
avoid an over lean condition at WOT settings. I think my engine would need
to be slightly larger in displacement in order to make it compatible. My
engine is a .020 overbore 2700 cc William Wynne Corvair. Other projects
have been successful with the Ellison on the Corvair.
Maybe on the next project. The Marvel Schebler MA3-SPA has worked very
well during the first 40 hours that I have used it.

Is there any reason a filter another filter shouldn't go in after the
pumps? If so is your filter inside the aircraft Gary?
