Some times when you rebuild a carb with the 1 pc. venturi you must change the main jet size. Check with the people who rebuilt your carb. Other thing I don't remember anyone mentioning the requirement for adjusting the quench area clearence. Number of shims(gaskets) under cyl. base or cyl. head. Especially true if you have to recut the head sealing surfaces . Bored my first set of jugs at my race car engine bulider buddy's shop. Preload holding fixtures worked very well. Regards Ray.
