 Alohaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Tampa Bay Parrot Heads!
 
What a great performance last week by Steel of the Night! Thanks so much to them for coming out to play for our Fifth Wednesday.  
 
I can't even keep up with how many parties we've had in the last couple of weeks, but I can tell you this, I'm ready to tackle a couple more!  Are you all with me????   
 
We'll party just like Bubba does Wednesday night at Storman's for our first regular meeting of June (hint hint) and then .................
 
PALM HARBOR STREET PARTY -- THIS SATURDAY -- Don't Miss It!!
Once again the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club will be cosponsoring the Palm Harbor Parrot Head Street Party this Saturday, June 10th on Main Street in Palm Harbor.  This is a fantastic, EXTREMELY FUN, event with which we have been involved for many years.  Music will be by the Caribbean Chillers who always put on a great show.  Party starts at noon.  See you there!     Jon Moffitt and Nautikool will be playing all afternoon at the Thirsty Marlin, so when you are ready to escape the heat or stay dry (hey, when we are reasonin' with hurricane season ya never know which it will be!), or just wanna come along and have some fun, join us for a few teeeeeaaaaaaammmmm drinks.  

Beach Clean-up & PARTY -- It's Time to Cleeeeeeeeeeeean the Beaches!!!
As Adopt-A-Shore representatives for Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful, Inc. (a nonprofit organization), the Tampa Bay Parrot Heads are once again volunteering to cleeeeeeeeeean the beaches.  Come join all your Parrot Heads friends as we clean Parrot Head Island along the Courtney Campbell Causeway Saturday, July 8th.  We will start at 9:30.  The post party details are in the works ( I seem to remember hearing something about a baNana? ;) )  but you can be assured it will be awesome as usual. BASEBALL - Tampa Bay PHC night at the Devil Rays 
The Devil Rays Parrot Head night has been set for Saturday, July 22nd.  Mark your calendars now.  Tickets will be sold at the meetings.  More details to come. 

Pirate Cruise Phlocking 
Ahoy there!  The Parrot Heads of Central Florida have invited us to join them on Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise on Sunday, July 30th on the 2 p.m. sailing.  They will be meeting at Crabby Bill's at noon for lunch, then living the pirate's life at 2.  The cost of the cruise is $30 and includes beer, wine and soft drinks.  If you would like join the Parrot Heads on this "sure-to-be-fun" event, registration is easy!  Just go online to www.captainmemo.com and register right there -- be sure to enter "The Parrot Heads of Central Florida" in the comments section.

Meeting of the Minds 
Don't forget to register for Meeting of the Minds -- it's filling up fast and is limited to 3,500 Parrot Heads.  This incredible National Parrot Head Event in Key West is November 2nd - 5th, 2006.  You must be a Parrot Head Club "member in good standing" (dues paid) in order to attend so if your renewal is due, be sure to send in your dues or visit the Membership Table at the next meeting.  For more information on MOTM and to get registered, please visit the Parrot Heads in Paradise web site at www.phip.com.   As of Saturday's update, there are already 2600 phellow phlockers registered to attend so don't delay!

Storman's Drink Prices
In an effort to "add spice" to the buffet for our regular Parrot Head meetings at Storman's, the Fruitcakes Advisory Board has approved a slight increase in drink prices.  It will be .50 per drink/beer.  Storman’s has only raised prices once in the 9 - 10 years we have been there. The price increase will be effective with the first meeting in June.

Don't forget to pick up your May-June calendar at the Welcome Table so you can keep on top of all the wonderful events planned for the club. 

Once again, our next Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club Meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 7th, at Storman's.  See you all there!
