POST CONCERT PARTY - Beach Clean-up
Don't miss our post-concert beach clean-up and party Saturday, November 18th, for The 19th Annual Mayor's Hillsborough River and Waterway Cleanup. The Parrot Heads have a spot all picked out for the Cleanup on Davis Islands (close to the Yacht Club) with a party at Elmer's in Ybor City afterwards. As always credit for community service will be given. Once again David, the Chief officer of Community Events (dolphin96 at verizon.net - 727-543-6548) has more info and can sign you up if you cannot sign up at the meetings between now and then.

Wednesday, November 1st!!
Can't make it to Key West for Meeting of the Minds? Can't wait three weeks for the pre-concert parties? Then come to Storman's for our Gypsies in the Palace meeting. We'll play his music loud, we'll party just like Bubba does, and we'll do the old man proud!

ZOOFARI!!
Known as one of the largest and "wildest" all-inclusive food festivals in the Tampa Bay Area, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo invites food lovers to its 20th annual Zoofari feeding frenzy on Saturday, November 4th. The event features great food sampling from more than 80 restaurants, open bars and live music; this year’s Main Stage will feature the band America!
As in past years, the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club will be providing volunteers for the late Cleanup to "put the place right" after the party and get the Zoo ready for the next day's business. The late Cleanup starts about 11:00 P.M., but prior to that the volunteers can sample all the food and drinks provided. (Just be sure to maintain a level head in order to be ready for the Cleanup.)

For anyone not going to the Meeting of the Minds, this is a great way to have a good time and do some good volunteer work for the Lowry Park Zoo at the same time. We will need 25 primary volunteers and then backups in case someone can't make it at the last minute. If you can't make it to the meetings to sign up, please contact our Volunteer Coordinators for ZOOFARI Kelley 727-417-2686 - kelypsoul at yahoo.com or Lynette 727-430-1313 - lrushton at fnf.com

PHOTO SCANNING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
We are going to put all of our old photos on the web site. To do this we need to scan them and put them on CDs. There are a lot of photos and we could use your help. If you can help scan some photos, please see Heidi Ho at the meeting Wednesday night.

HELP WANTED - Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is looking for volunteers to help out at the Membership Table during meetings. Needed are 2-3 people to work as a team at every third meeting from 6ish to 8:30ish (depending upon activity at the table).

Responsibilities include talking with member wannabees, keeping a log of new members and renewals received at the meeting, laminating badges, opening membership mail, handling money and checks and making change. At the end of the night you would prepare the bank deposit slip, pack up and return materials to the storeroom. You don’t have to worry about set-up as our own 12-Volt Man, Jerry, takes care of that for us. (Thanks, Jerry!)

We need outgoing, upbeat people who have a positive club attitude and who enjoy talking with new people. The routine is easy to learn and it’s a fun area to work. If the club has had a positive affect on your life and you can convey that feeling to new member wannabees, we’d love to talk with you.

If you’re interested you can either come to the membership area during the meeting and ask for Andy or Diane or email Diane at margherite at aol.com. Thanks!!
