There’s lots of club news this week. Even though there will NOT be a meeting this Wednesday (January 17th), there are lots of club activities to talk about.
 
As you all have heard, our friends at Stormans Palace have closed the facility and we are in the process of setting up a new meeting location.  Teeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaam Drinks and many thanks to Brian Storman, Rocky Brown, and the terrific bar staff who have given the Tampa Bay Parrot Heads so many wonderful memories from these past nine years. 
 
WE HOPE TO HAVE A NEW MEETING LOCATION ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK!
 
 SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3RD -- PRE-SUPERBOWL BEACH CLEANUP & PARTY
 
Time once again to CLEEEEEEEEEAN THE BEACHES !!!  We’ll meet starting at 9AM for team assignments, and the cleanup begins at 9:30AM. We will flock at the usual location in the parking lot at Whiskey Joe's - off Rocky Point Road (south) at the east end of the Courtney Campbell Causeway.  If you have not yet signed up, then please, please contact David, Our Chief Officer of Community  Events, by e-mail at dolphin96 at verizon.net or call 727-734-8263.  Kelley our stupendous party planner will have the news about where the post-Cleanup PARTY will be. Stay tuned for further details!!!
 
 
UPDATE… NEW, LOWER PRICES FOR THE 2007 Tampa Bay PHC CRUISE!!!!!!!!!
Great news!  Prices have gone down on the cruise and cabins are still available.  Prices are now $464.69 for an outside cabin and $414.69 for an inside cabin.  If you have already signed up for the cruise, the prices will be adjusted automatically for you.  
 
More great news !! We’ll have the opportunity to visit TWO MARGARITAVILLES – one in Grand Cayman, the other in Jamaica.  Make no mistaka!  
 
The Carnival Imagination leaves for a 5-night cruise from the Port of Miami on Saturday, April 28th and returns on Thursday, May 3rd.  The first stop is Grand Cayman, the second stop is Ocho Rios Jamaica. A $200 deposit per person is due as soon as possible.  The balance is due by February 25th. 
 
If if you are interested in joining, please call and sign up right away!!  All deposits and money paid is fully refundable up to 2/25.  Call For Cruise Reservations at 813-854-5522 or 727-784-2110 to make your reservations.  Transportation to Miami is being planned at a separate cost. Saturday February 24: SELL YOUR JUNK FROM THE TRUNK  Clean out the closet, the attic, and the garage and get ready for the Tampa Bay Parrot Head garage sale!  All proceeds will go to one of our charities.
 
Saturday, March 24 – Tampa Bay Parrot Head Raft Up on 3 Rooker Island – Captain Norm and Captain Dom are heading up this event. Stay tuned for more info…..(Bad weather date: March 31).
 
Buffet Tour Dates
Jimmy is in Florida next month with two concert dates:
Thursday, February 8 at the AMWAY ARENA Orlando & Saturday February 10 at the LEON COUNTY CIVIC CENTER, Tallahassee.  The Tallahassee concert proceeds will benefit the United Way of Big Bend.

Registration for "Barefootin' Key West" the 16th Annual Meeting of the Minds is now up and running at http://www.phip.com/motm_reg.asp. Registration will close at 3500 people this year and since MOTM has sold out well before the September deadline the past two years, please register as soon as you can...

In light of the recent natural disasters, PHiP, in conjunction with the Regional Communicators, has decided to compile a listing of Parrot Heads who might be willing to offer temporary shelter to fellow Parrot Heads in need of emergency refuge due to natural disaster, be it a hurricane, tornado, forest fire, flood, etc. Anyone interested in being listed as a temporary safe haven for a PHiP Parrot Head couple or family in need during any time of evacuation or disaster, please fill out the questionnaire below & email it to Debbie Ippolito deba1a at yahoo.com.
