A BIG TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM DRINK to everyone who came out Saturday, May 26th and partied on One Tree Island in Clearwater. Special thanks to Capt. Dom & Capt. Norm for making it happen.

 

COMING UP THIS SATURDAY JUNE 9th--PARROT HEAD DAY IN PALM HARBOR

C'mon out and help promote the club!! 

This years event takes place from 2PM to 10PM along Florida Avenue. The Caribbean Chillers are the main band, and the Beautiful Remnants, a blues band, kicks off the music in the afternoon. The club could use a few Tampa Bay Parrot Head volunteers to help pass out leaflets and tell Palm Harbor about the Greatest Club in the World! If you are available to volunteer for an hour or two, please contact our Chief Officer of Membership, ANDY, at a1a_andy at verizon.net 

 

BAR STROLL !!!  BAR STROLL !!! MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Our Tampa Bay Parrot Head BEACH bar stroll is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th. This year will feature a TRIATHALON, Parrot Head style with beach games and a competition for "Last Man Standing." Hotel arrangements and other details will be announced soon. SAVE THE DATE !

 

BEACH CLEAN UP OF PARROT HEAD ISLAND

Our next clean up of Parrot Head Island is scheduled for July 14th, with a party to follow at the Dogwater Café near Nursery & US 19.  

 

DO YOU WANT TO BE A FRUITCAKE ADVISOR?

As you all know by now, I will be stepping down as Captain after our Birthday Party in September (look for the BIG ASS PARTY PLANS SOON!).  When that occurs per our bylaws our First Mate NanaBabe takes over the helm as Captain.  Thus, there will be a vacancy on the Fruitcakes Advisory Board for First Mate that must be filled until the next club elections in October of 2008. The by-laws also tell us that the interim positions are appointed and approved by the Executive Committee. So, if you are interested in serving on the Fruitcakes Advisory Board (now or even at a later date for any of the positions – see LOYAL CREW on www.finsup.com for all positions), now is the time to notify the current Fruitcakes Advisors. Please make your interest known to our Members-at-Large, Marilyn at mzwego at tampabay.rr.com or Steve at spsme at aol.com. OR...notify any other advisory board member. Please make your interest known by June 15th so we have ample time to make the appointment.  

        

We will see ya manana, June 5th at the 420.
