Wish You Were There, The Weather Was Beeeeautiful!!!

 

What a fantastic Raft-Up “Island Party” we had on Saturday, October 13th!! We had 7 vessels and over 40 Parrot Heads enjoying 85 degree weather, perfect sunshine and great food and drinks! The party was on Three-Rooker Sand Bar which is at the Northern tip of the Caladesi-Honeymoon chain. Great beach, perfect sand and the water was ideal for keeping everyone cool! If you were able to make the trip we’re glad you could join us, if not then hopefully you can come out for the next “Island Party”!!

 



 

A Huge “Teeeeeeeeeam Drink and THANK YOU to Captain Dom for organizing such a Great Party. It was one of the best! And THANKS as well to the boat Captains for volunteering your time and vessels to get all the fun-loving Parrot Heads out to the island!

Some of the boats loaded up down South at Seminole Boat Ramp and as far North as New Port Ritchey. The majority of us congregated in Palm Harbor to assign passengers to boats and vehicles and then headed down to the Speckled Trout boat ramp to get the adventure started! 

  

  

You should have seen the look on the ramp owners face when 4 boats pulled up and 25 Parrot Heads swarmed his docks!

    

  

  

Underway!!!

  

After a brief 20 minute boat ride we arrived at the island to find TBPH Banners, gazebos, BOATS, BARS, BEACHES and BALLADS!! (Well, maybe no bars or ballads, but everything else was there)

We had the grills fired up and everyone enjoyed the great food that all the Parrot Heads brought along! Our burgers and dogs were cooked to perfection and everyone got plenty to eat!

  

…..And our fine Chefs for the afternoon!!!



Nothing like lazing around in the cool sea telling stories and singing songs!!!

  

Our TBPH Navy Captain in his finest element! And our Boat Captains for the day!

  

We all had a Great time as Parrot Heads usually do but unfortunately we had to load up and head back to the ramp….. as Jimmy sings, “It’s Been a Lovely Cruise”!!
