Alohaaaaa, Tampa Bay Parrot Heads......Vampires & Mummies !!!!!

Our next meeting is the HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY.....

 

...which is also our  Pre-Pre-Pre JB Concert Party, THIS TUESDAY, October 30th, at 420 Park Place....

 

A TEEEEEEEEAM DRINK is in order for our Junkers-in-the-Trunk...club members who helped raise $850 this past Saturday IN THE RAIN for the TBPH-USF Endowment in Marine Sciences !!! A special team drink for Bill Church of the Quaker Steak and Lube.  Not only did he provide the facility AND entertainment, he was the winner of the big 50/50 raffle and donated the proceeds back to the USF Endowment!!!



Talk about "You Had to Be There!"  We had THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT!!  Jim Lanier is such a delightful addition to our area and everyone truly enjoyed listening to him.  And The Eric Stone Band?  INCREDIBLE!  If you aren't going to the concert or MotM or volunteering at the zoo, you should catch them at the St Pete Boat Show next Saturday.  If you are there when the Boat Show closes, you can participate in the free after-party as well, sponsored by Latitudes and Attitudes.

Another big TEEEEAAAAM DRINK to Pat and Bryan at DogWater Cafe for hosting the first Pre-concert party Friday night, along with Connie and the De Lei'ed Parrots. Through the generous donations they arranged, we raised almost $200 for the USF Endowment Fund with a $1 raffle!  NICE jumpstart!! Thanks to everyone who was a part of it!

October 30: PRE-PRE-PRE-CONCERT/HALLOWEEN 

Vampires Mummies and the Holy Ghost are sure to attend even if it is NOT Halloween in Tijuana!  The 420 goes all out for Halloween, and has invited the Tampa Bay Parrot Heads to participate in their festivities.  There will be live music by Pat Foy and the Conch Critters, a raffle for two tickets to the THURSDAY concert as well as giveaways AND beginning at 9pm … COSTUME CONTESTS ...which WILL include some Buffett-related categories.  So get out your thinking caps and your old dunce cones!  

We expect a number of visiting Parrot Heads will be in town for the concerts or stopping off here on the way to MotM to see what we are all about.  A number of us will already be traveling, so those of you who will be in town, PLEASE try to get down to the 420 for a couple of hours and help us show our guests how we party TBPH-style!!

October 31 to Nov 3: MEETING OF THE MINDS

Our BIG ASS PARTY is THURSDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 1, 7 PM AT SCHOONER WHARF with JACK MOSLEY, then we will migrate to the Casa to support our own LANDSHARKS BAND taking the stage at 9!!!

November 2: PRE-PRE CONCERT PARTY at Kahuna’s

Live Music with Tropical BrainFreeze and all the awesome things we can always count on Jim Kendrick for ... giveaways, prizes, ice luge, bonfire, AND we will be having a special raffle for TWO FREE TICKETS to the Saturday concert!! You KNOW you want to be there, you don’t want anyone saying “You had to be there!”  

 

November 3: PRE-CONCERT TAILGATING 

In our fine Tampa Bay Parrot Head tradition, we are organizing a GIANT tailgate party at the Ford Amphitheatre in advance of Jimmy's November 3rd concert.   LOOK FOR THE GIANT BEACH BALLS FLOATING OVERHEAD!

 

November 3: ZOOFARI AT THE LOWRY PARK ZOO

Known as one of the largest and “wildest” all-inclusive food festivals in the Tampa Bay Area, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo invites food lovers to its annual Zoofari feeding frenzy. The event features great food sampling from more than 80 restaurants. If you are not going to MOTM or the concert on the 3rd and VOLUNTEER TO CLEAN UP following this great event, you can attend for free. Mark your calendars.....Our next beach clean up takes place Saturday, November 17 at Davis Islands in Tampa.  We will meet at 10AM in the parking lot next to the Davis Islands Yacht Club. For more information, email Dave, our Chief Officer of Community Events at dolphin96 at verizon.net. 

 

DECEMBER 8: HOLIDAY PARTY 
Our Holiday Party will be held at the Treasure Island Community Center. ENTERTAINMENT  WILL BE BY OUR VERY OWN CONNIE AND THE DE LEI'ED PARROTS!! HOTEL Rooms are available at a special Parrot Head Rate of  $59-$69 for non-efficiency and $79-119 for efficiency at the Trail's End Motel until 11/10/07.   Phone the Trail's End at 727-360-5541 and visit them on the Web at www.trailsendmotel.info. A flyer with additional details is available at the Welcome Table.
