2008 is tomorrow,
Tuesday, January 15, at 420 Park Place.  C'mon out and join your Parrot Head friends, and hear ALL
about the GREAT club events for 2008...INCLUDING THE
SPECTACULAR FloriDaze!!!!!!



 



MEMBERSHIP STICKERS



As much as we hate to do this, There’s
no more free rides in this Carnival World. The
economy is such that we have no choice but to tighten our own purse strings.
 We have been telling you to get into the habit of wearing your TBPH badge to meetings and
here’s why: You will be getting a sticker to go
on the back of your badge with your renewal date. This sticker will be your fun ticket into some club
activities. After all you deserve special
benefits for being a member in good standing. This
will include the buffet at 420, as well as being able to take advantage of the
special rates we are able to obtain for our other events. Please see Rachel and Shari
on the main floor below the membership table beginning January 15 to get your
sticker and check your membership status. 



 





JANUARY 19: FIRST PARTY
OF 2008



Our first scheduled party this year is this coming SATURDAY. Parrot
Heads trade in Flip Flops for Bowling Shoes at Dunedin Lanes - 405
  Patricia Avenue. BE
THERE by 6:30 pm to get your shoes and ball, bowling will begin promptly
at 7:00 pm.
$6.00 per person for 2 hrs of bowling and includes shoe rental. Prizes will be
awarded for "surprise" categories. If you have not yet signed up for the
bowling party or if you need directions contact  TBPHparties at verizon.net. 



 



SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2: FIRST BEACH CLEAN UP OF 2008

The February clean up of Parrot Head Island is
part of our required effort as Adopt-a-Shore representatives. There
will be signup sheets at the meetings January 15 and January 29.  If you
can't make the meetings, please contact David, Chief
Officer of Community Events at dolphin96 at verizon.net , 727-543-6548 (c) or 727-734-8263 (h). As always,
we will meet in the parking lot of The Rusty Pelican on the south end
of N Rocky Point Dr, off the east end of the Courtney Campbell Causeway at 9AM and hit the
beaches about 9:30.  Bring gloves
and wear closed toed shoes.  The after-Clean Up party will be at the Banana Boat on Gandy Blvd.



 



SATURDAY, MARCH 29: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING GAME

  St.
Pete Times Forum. Game begins at 7:30 pm. Cost of
ticket per person is $25.00. Tickets are
on sale at the TBPH meetings. In typical Parrot Head fashion, we will
pre-party with more information coming soon.  We will also have a $5 raffle and the fun prize
of A RIDE ON THE
ZAMBONI.



 



FloriDaze 2008 MAY 15-18:
BIGGEST PARTY OF THE DECADE !!!! at the
Tradewinds Resort, on St. Pete Beach. The website
for FloriDaze is up and registration is OPEN!!! Go to www.FloriDaze.org
to register and get all the information you need
about the Tradewinds Resort. The
entertainment lineup is there as well as a sponsor page that is going to grow
continuously as we get closer to May. 



 



THE MANATEE BALL IS BACK!!!  You've asked to bring it back, and
here it is, in a new and improved form as part of the Floridaze celebration on
Friday May 16th.The Manatee Ball: A SeaCow Soiree benefits the Save the Manatee Club.  There will
be a LIVE and a silent auction AND...



 



A CD Release Party for SAVING PADDY DOYLE: It's Up To You! ~ the original
music project we've been telling you about. 



Calling volunteers.....There are a number of areas
where the club can use your help to make FloriDaze the best
Trop-Rock event ever held!!  If you can donate merchandise or
services to the Ball, or if you know someone who can, please get in touch

Happenings page on Finsup.com isn’t being updated anymore. I am just too
busy to do it. If you are computer savvy, keep an ear to the ground for Parrot
Head Friendly Happenings, and would be willing to take this over please contact
me.
