She thanked all those Parrot Heads who participated in the recent 
      Volcano meeting. Our concerns will be reviewed at the next FruitCakes 
      Board meeting and addressed accordingly. Our Members-at-Large, Pat and Vee

Parrot Heads at the Tampa Bay Lighting 
      Hockey Game – Val has your hockey tickets! If you were not able to get 
      them at this meeting they will be available at The Hut (Newks) before the 
      game! Remember raffle tickets will be available for $5.00 to win a ride on 
      the zamboni!! We will be joined by some fellow Parrot Heads from Sarasota 
      so wear your best Parrot Head Attire and represent our club 
      well!

      


      
 

      
PIG 
      ROAST!!! The annual pig roast is scheduled for Saturday, April 
      12th at Kahuna’s!! Mark your calendars! You can buy your 
      tickets from Joanie or Val! Tickets are $12.00 in advance, $15.00 at the 
      door or if you just want to enjoy the music and not eat, 
      $10.00!

      first Bowling night was such a HUGE success that another one is on the

WE 
      ARE CLEEEEEEANING THE BEACHES.... April 19 - Great 
      American Beach Cleanup - Once again we will be cleaning our portion of the 
      Courtney Campbell Causeway loving dubbed "Parrot Head Island."

This 
      is a "t-shirt event." There will be signup 
      sheets at the meetings or contact David, Chief Officer of Community Events 
      dolphin96 at verizon.net 727-543-6548 (c) or 727-734-8263 (h). This is also 
      an opportunity to get credit for Community Service hours for school or 
      your job or any other circumstance.
As always we will meet in the 
      parking lot of The Rusty Pelican on the south end of Rocky Point Dr, off 
      the east end of the Courtney Campbell Causeway at 9:00 and hit the beaches 
      about 9:30. Bring gloves and a hat and wear good (closed toe) shoes. 
      

Following the cleanup, Quaker Steak & Lube will be hosting the 
      post clean up party. 
      “Let’s leave the world a little better than we found it and have a 
      blast doing it!”

      and the sticker is your ticket to take advantage of these special

      the Membership table and we are encouraging everyone to come out and buy

There will be 
      many more specials and new items coming out so get out to the meetings and

Bill 
      and Sue are also looking for volunteers to help out at the store. If you 
      would like to help out for about an hour and a half every 3 months or so 
      please contact them at the meetings or email bill_n_sue at verizon.net! This 
      is a great way for our members to get involved and meet 
      everyone!

great to have the raffle up and running with some cool prizes up for grabs! 
Thanks to all those Parrot Heads who donated items and to all those who 
purchased tickets! 


  



Remember 
that when you participate in the raffle the proceeds go towards our charitable 
donations and help pay for the web site and postage etc., so get involved and 
help make a difference! Dorothy said the raffles will be held a bit earlier than 
normal to get those Parrot Heads involved who have to leave the meetings early! 
So don’t miss out on this fun and worthwhile part of our 
meetings!
