Hello Everyone! Here is the latest Travel Update for the 23rd Annual Meeting of the Minds 2014. 

Don’t miss the event of the year for the Parrot Head Nation! There is only one MOTM and we need YOU! The Coral Reefer Band will be there! ALL of them and even some CRB alumni. Several days of non-stop Trop Rock! Your favorite solo artists and bands. Radiomargaritaville DJs will be on site! Steve Huntington and JD Spradlin will be in town filling the airwaves on Sirius XM from Key West! Charity events! PHUN! PHUN! Free stuff!! The Friday Street Festival! Music all afternoon as we party down from the stage on Duval Street. Our Mini Mart will be in full swing as it is SOLD OUT! There will be plenty of shopping for all things tropical and Parrot Head related. Book authors, including Tom Corcoran, are back! Meet the musicians! Get your stuff signed! It will be the usual tropical setting as the Parrot Heads take over Key West!

The Casa Marina Update:

As of today we are sold out again at the Casa Marina Resort for MOTM 2014…there was one room available I released for a couple of days this week but it is now booked! Our registration team has a list of people who have reserved rooms at the Casa Marina but have not yet registered for MOTM 2014. As I write this note there are only 5 days left until we draw a winner for the free 4 night stay in an OCEAN FRONT TWO BEDROOM SUITE at the Casa Marina during MOTM 2014. REMEMBER you must be booked at the Casa Marina AND registered for MOTM to be entered into the drawing for the room. If you don’t do both of these things by midnight EDT on June 30th we cannot enter your name into the drawing. Also please don’t hold on to a room at the Casa Marina if you are not planning on attending. There are many folks looking for a room during MOTM and we want to help them out! We have to pay for ANY empty rooms during MOTM so let’s work together, just like previous years, and keep the host hotel sold out! Don’t forget…there is a 60 day cancellation policy in effect at the Casa Marina. 

Stand by for the drawing in the first week of July. I will be announcing the lucky winner of the FREE four night stay in early July which is just around the corner. 

Also for those of you looking for rooms at The Reach there is now a block of rooms available over there under a code to reduce the rate. If you want to be on the wait list for the Casa Marina book at The Reach and let Rick Fyffe know that you want to be on the list to be moved. Note that the base rate at The Reach is reduced but it is still higher than our base Parrot Head rate at the Casa Marina.
