Our experience is that this is not as  commonly occurring as it is for permanent immigration status.  It depends upon what you have defined as a required screening package for temporary workers and Usually is a company driven value.  For visa’s, no Vaccination evidence is required for many of them.    Again the company standard appears to be the primary driver.   For our outbound employees – there is no guidance from any country that requires visa’s for entry.  This has always been a company specific guide – which we maintain on a regular basis.   Status is updated at least quarterly

Probably not a bad question to ask.  Persons immigrating to the US are supposed to go through a medical screening that includes vaccination, but I don’t know if that applies to visa’s or temporary work permits.

Any thoughts about screening HCWs who are arriving from endemic countries (e.g. starting residents, new faculty, other immigrants) for proof of polio immunization?
