Yale New Haven Health- Occupational Medicine & Wellness

 

The Medical Director for Employee/Occupational Health is responsible for administering all aspects of an Occupational Health & Wellness Program for the Greenwich Hospital and for community customers, such that optimal health, patient experience and financial outcomes are achieved in partnership with the Department Director.

 

Greenwich Hospital is part of the Yale New Haven Health System.  The Occ. Med dept. presently is in an expansion mode and has a central office off campus, a presence at the hospital and one other clinic location.  In addition it has 6 corporate health units embedded at various companies providing urgent care, wellness and workers’ compensation services.

 

The Medical Director shall provide direct patient care for occupational health clients and urgent care as needed.  He or she will ensure that the highest quality care is maintained in all the clinical operations in the satellite offices as well as the Corporate Health units. He/she will provide medical leadership for all clinicians.

 

He or she will be part of the Yale NH Health System and will report to the chief medical director of the Occupational Medicine and Wellness services for all clinical activities.

 

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in occupational medicine and urgent care and be Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Practice or Emergency Medicine with a preference for Occupational Medicine.
