I guess I read this differently from everyone else. If the potential new employee fails the pre-employment drug screen, consideration for future employment opportunities at EIRMC is on a case by case basis as determined by the director of HR.

Hi Phil,
At our facility if the employee terminates longer than 30 days and then comes back we collect a new drug screen. If HR requests a new drug screen even if termination has been within that 30 day time frame we collect.
Have a great day!

Hello to all who perform pre-placement drug testing:
We started doing pre-placement drug testing last year and our policy does not address (intentionally) when a candidate can reapply for a job. The staffing partners are asked this by the candidates all the time. I personally feel that this should be addressed. I wanted to get a sense for this group on how you address this issue.
At other institutions where I have worked the policies ranged from 6 months to a year.
Thanks,
Phil
