Would people generally wait for the onset of fever? Would you recommend people go or stay home if they develop early symptoms, before the onset?

Corporate (HCA) advised us that the employee can still work (assuming asymptomatic, of course) but should monitor their own fever x 21 days & to report to EH if any fever. Decisions would be made at that time w/ infectious disease & Corporate guidance.

Is anyone facing decisions about return to work following travel to an Ebola affected country?  For example, travelers returning after visiting family, participating in mission work, medical care, humanitarian aid work?  Are you considering furlough of 21 days following return under certain circumstances? If so, what is the threshold for making the decision to put someone on furlough (assuming they are asymptomatic; obviously those with symptoms would be directed to medical care)?  What type of history are you collecting and how do you make that decision.  I can share a draft screening tool we are developing, but would be interested in any others and any guidance anyone can provide.

Thanks!

Mark
