Hello all,
I noticed that the CDC has changed their position on the Interim Guidance for monitoring and movement document. They are now recommending that even asymptomatic individuals who have been in close contact as in
health care facilities or community settings have a conditional release and controlled movement. Are you restricting a health care worker for direct contact with patients until 21 days after the last potential exposure? Does anyone have a policy yet that your
med executive committee or policy committee has accepted for your institutions?
Thanks,
Phil Adamo

We are using the CDCs interim guidance a tool and basing our responses to the situation on this document.
Would love to see your screening tool. Also what PPE recommendations are you making?
Thank you,

Is anyone facing decisions about return to work following travel to an Ebola affected country? For example, travelers returning after visiting family, participating in mission work, medical care, humanitarian aid work? Are you considering furlough of 21 days following return under certain circumstances? If so, what is the threshold for making the decision to put someone on furlough (assuming they are asymptomatic; obviously those with symptoms would be directed to medical care)? What type of history are you collecting and how do you make that decision. I can share a draft screening tool we are developing, but would be interested in any others and any guidance anyone can provide.
Thanks!
Mark
