We have used  only Quadrivalent the past 2 years, administering > 12,000 doses along with FluMist. It has been recommended that we also use the high dose and I anticipate that will be done for this upcoming flu season.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Flu Vaccine for Next Year

After a brief online search, it appears that neither the CDC nor APIC are recommending the quadrivalent flu vaccine over the trivalent vaccine for adults for the coming year.  I saw no recommendation specific to HCWs.  I did read that about 50% of the doses to be produced for next year will be quadrivalent.

I’m wondering  what people are planning to order for next year.

□ Trivalent?

X Quadrivalent?

□ Fluzone High Dose for those over 65??
