Good Morning,
Just curious if anyone has a formal
protocol for post-exposure prophylaxis (HCWs) for bacterial meningitis
and when there is an exposure who makes the decision to treat.
We have a one-page flow sheet used if
there is an exposure. We use prophylaxis for "close contacts"
as defined by CDC. I have seen that sometimes we prophylax too many employees
("you just have to take one pill").
Thanks.
