We do quantiferon as well
We also deactivate their badge if they don’t return for a vaccination or titer
We went to Quantiferon Gold after doing time/cost analysis. It was actual less than half the cost when employee time and admin cost was factored.
We do not let new employees start until all on hire EHS criteria are met.
Other option is to email the employee’s manager that the employee needs to return to EHS for follow-up (not saying for what) and if manager’s initiative doesn’t work, go up the admin ladder until you get results.

My only suggestion is not to let them start working until both are complete. We are changing our policy because so much time is wasted on tracking them down, not to mention PPD solution and supplies. Best wishes!

How does everyone get new hires to return for their second ppd? It seems like we continually are trying track people down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
