Colleagues,

It happens pretty frequently that a list subscriber writes to me to ask, "Why was my post rejected? I'm a subscriber to the list!"

The answer almost invariably arises from the fact that the subscriber's email address has been changed -- but their IT department has implemented an "auto-forward" feature so that messages sent to their OLD address are automatically forwarded to their NEW address. This includes all maillist messages which continue to be sent to the OLD address.

However, you won't be recognized as a subscriber if you try to post to the list from your NEW address -- because the listserver obviously has no way of guessing that your IT department gave you a new email address.

The solution is simple: go to the mcoh-eh.net home page and unsubscribe your OLD address, following these steps:

Now go back to
the mcoh-eh.net home page and subscribe using your NEW address:

Et voilą! You will have shown yourself to be a master of technology, and your grandkids will be proud of you some day!

Regards,

Joe Fanucchi
