There is an OSHA standard that states employee
information is confidential.
There is less confidentiality with WC
as other parties may be involved in any litigation.

I'm in employee health and occupational medicine in a
400 bed community hospital in North Carolina.
"Legal" has requested full access to employee
health charts prior to any regulatory survey for any compliance and/or
workers' comp related issues. I'm trying to make a decision whether to
allow the hospital's legal department to be the custodian of employee health
records. Doesn't the hospital own the records and have access to the entire
chart?
Are there any documents to reference other than the 11/16/2012
