We require of Temps/locums exactly what we require of employees. TB, UDS, Immunity to MMRVz, HepB (or declination) and recent Tdap/TD. UDS must be done and results received prior to starting work and no older than 14 days from start date.

We are going to bring in some agency nurses to help with staffing shortages.  How do you handle these individuals for onboarding?  Besides proof of vaccination history, do you do ppd’s and drug screens on them or do you  utilize the documentation from the agency?  Are there time limits on when the drug screen or ppd should be repeated at your facility?

Thank you,
