FROM OUR SPM COORDINATOR:
McAuley has a longer slide board for car transfer that has non-slip surfaces for each end so it stays in place:
http://mcauleymedical.com/repositioning_aids.php. If the patient is sticking to the board, you can add a small friction reducing sheet (like Patran) or the family can use a garbage bag if they
don’t have access to these sheets. The manual sit stand lift that I like is the Return 7500i from HandiCare (have trialed them and have ordered them, but they are not here yet):

And this is the most valuable item I use with my aunt to get her in and out of the car (I use a step designed for use in the bathroom, but this one is hospital grade and non-slip:

Good afternoon.
Can anyone advise on a good piece of equipment to use for getting a patient into or out of a car. Preferably rather small and portable with no slings.
Thanks!
